Golf World Business Names Tehama Ceo Nancy Haley To List Of "Top 5 Most Powerful People In Golf Fashion"
January 21, 2005 - (DENVER) Last week, Clint Eastwood won the
Golden
Globe Award for "Best Director."
This week, his partner and co-founder in the Tehama sportswear
company - Nancy
Haley - picked up some industry kudos of her own. As Golf
World
Business unveiled their annual list of "The Most Powerful
People
in Golf for 2005" - ranking the Tehama CEO as one of the
top 5
leaders in golf fashion sportswear.
Each year, the editors of Golf Digest compile a list of the
year's "Most
Powerful People in Golf," with categories that include
players,
course architects, golf fashion leaders, equipment companies and
more.
The results are published in Golf World Business magazine.
"It's a huge honor to be recognized by the editors
of Golf
World Business- especially with so many talented and famous
people
in the golf business today," said Haley from her Tehama,
Inc. office
in Lakewood, Colorado. "But frankly, inventing, marketing,
designing
and growing a brand is just what I love to do."
Nancy Haley began her career with the founding of Sport-Haley
- the
company she founded in 1986 and took public in 1992. In the
process,
she created a brand and a look that has been widely credited with
revolutionizing
women's sportswear for golf.
Building on her experience at Sport-Haley, Nancy partnered with
Clint
Eastwood in 1997 - in what she candidly describes as
"a storybook,
Cinderella story." Together, they launched Tehama, a
high-end line
of men's and women's contemporary sportswear. With
Haley
at the helm as CEO, the company has seen double-digit sales
increases
every year. And last year, Haley was instrumental in negotiating
and
acquiring the licensing and design rights to the IZOD-G line of
technical
sportswear for golf, which will unveil its new line at the PGA
Show in
Orlando next week.
